Location & History

In 1994, the opportunity arose to complement the bookbindery by establishing a printing company. Soon this had grown to such an extent that new premises had to be found. The move to Ulanenweg took place in 2002. The company with its prepress and postpress operations can therefore be found in the 'Alte Waffenmeisterei' in Ulanenweg, which was built in 1860 by Friedrich Wilhelm IV. to station the guards. The building was used by the German Wehrmacht until 1945 and then by the Soviet Army. After they left in 1992, the building stood empty and was exposed to gradual decay.

In 2001, we were able to acquire the ruin and restore it so that it was opened in February 2002 as the headquarters of the Rüss printing conpany in Potsdam. In 2003, we received the Federal Award for the Preservation of Historical Monuments for the conversion of the historic building.
